Start from a “core 4” of rectangles and work in 4 successive rings to make this seamless hat. Skill level, experienced. I wouldn’t suggest it as your first entrelac project. However, it’s simple enough for those who have worked in entrelac before. I have included several drawings to guide you. Although I originally changed needle sizes in this pattern, I think you could knit the whole thing on US2/2.75 needles if you have a small head, US 3/3.25 if you are larger. It is a slouchy hat, not meant to be a snug fit, so take that into consideration as well. Sport weight would be my yarn of choice, but I think it could be really cute in a heavy fingering like Bugga or Tosh Merino Light (albeit less variegated). Would be gorgeous in Noro Silk Garden Lite or Sock.
