KITSUNE OMOI V( neck version) is a hybrid raglan and circular yoke construction knit from the top
down in the round, with a steep v neckline, then steeked. As in thethe original version, the steek once cut, folds back to be cleverly tucked away behind knit-on facings. The button band then serves double duty by fastening down the interior facings, and anchoring the steek. The body is worked straight from the bust with no shaping, but to keep things interesting there are inset welt pockets, knit in-line with the body by means of double knitting. The welts are knit first and used to start the double knitting section, and are later sewn down along the edges.
This version is designed to have a looser, easy fit, with the hem stopping at the high hip. It features a narrower button band with afterthought buttonholes. Though this is by no means a difficult or complex knit, this version would be better suited to an intermediate knitter or a very intrepid advanced beginner.
Techniques used include: steeking, strandedknitting, doubleknitting, germanshortrows, sewnand three needle bind off, and some very rudimentary sewing (whipstitch for the afterthought buttonholes)
The yarn is held double throughout; the seamless colour changes are made by marling, ie changing the colours of the held-together strands on each row.

Recommended ease: Due to the circular yoke construction combined with the Vneck, the ease around the chest of this version is generous and flexible! While the flat-lay measurements yield the above chest measurements the practical ease through the chest when worn is effectively ~5 cm larger. This cardigan version is knit straight from the yoke for an easy fit and has a wider, less tapered sleeve. You can therefore easily choose to size up or down according to your desired fit.
Model shown is 1.75cm tall with a chest (fullest point) circumference of 122cm and is shown wearing the v neck cardigan version in the equivalent of size ,4 with ~4cm of ease.
