Freyja
In the summer of 2016 Caitlin and Arlin ffrench shot a collection of knitwear in Iceland. The collection is 8 pieces and is knit in lopi wool.
The photographs were all shot on film and the Icelandic photos weren’t developed until they returned home. The studio shots were also taken on film by Amanda of Brutally Beautiful Photography. There is an ephemeral quality to the photographs that couldn’t have been achieved any other way, and by working in this manner they felt that this collection can be seen as a complete artwork.
The printed book will be released at Knit City in Vancouver BC on October 1st.
A huge thank you to my test knitters- I couldn’t have done this without you.
