Cables and bobbles and seed stitch, oh my!

This texture-rich scarf is knit flat with traveling cables and bobbles on a background of reverse stockinette, enveloped by seed-stitch twist cables, to keep you cozy all winter long!

• Options to knit with a chart or with the written pattern.

• New to knitting charts? Read the written instructions, then compare them to the chart to teach yourself this skill! When it is time to knit from the chart, you’ll find the written version in brackets . For example, the instructions will say: Chart Row 9 or MB, C2B(a), MB, P2, C2B, P4. Notice the “or”. Knit from the chart, OR follow the written instructions in the brackets. Pick one or the other, or do one, then compare.

• Another version of a 3-stitch bobble will work for this pattern, if you already have a version that you like. 

• On the WS rows: Instead of following the even rows on the chart, you can simply purl the purl stitches, and knit the knit stitches (chart area only). Remember to knit into the bobble stitches.

• Gauge is not super important for this pattern, but I have provided it here for reference. You can easily take this pattern and knit it in a different weight yarn, just know that yardage requirements and the resulting size will be different.
