Geminus socks with this nice allover stranded colorwork are easy to knit and just fun. Choose 2 solid colors or try a gradient yarn for the contrast color for a smooth color change from cuff to toe. Knit two identical socks or alternate main and contrasting colors for two almost identical socks.

Geminus socks are knit top-down in the round, so you can easily customize the length of the leg and foot while you knit. You´ll find the charts separately for each of the sizes.

Sizes 1, 2, 3, 4 to fit for a foot circumference of approx. (7.5 / 7.9 / 8.3 / 8.9)”, (19 / 20 / 21 / 22.5) cm.

Gauge 36 sts / 42 rnds = 4 x 4“ / 10 x 10 cm stranded colorwork in the round with needle size US 1 ½ (2.5 mm), washed and blocked

Yarn / yardage All sockyarns with approx. 436 yds (400 m) / 100g will work well. If you work the ribbing for the cuff, heel and toe with main color, you need for one sock 25 – 40 g in main color and 20 – 35 g in contrasting color.
Yardage amounts may vary depending on the length of your leg and foot, the yarn and personal knitting tension.

The more colorful socks for me are size 2 (shoe size EU 39) and worked with Wool and Forest sock col. Eichhörnchen and Laines du Nord Watercolor sock col. 100

Needles and tools 2 circular needles at least 32” (80 cm) (or DPN´s US 1 ½ (2.5 mm) if you prefer); tapestry needle for Kitchener stitch and weaving in yarn ends.

Das Muster ist einfach zu stricken und macht Spaß. Ganz gleich, ob es mit zwei kontrastierenden klassischen Farben oder mit einer Hauptfarbe und einem Farbverlaufsgarn gestrickt wird, das Muster wird immer gut aussehen. Stricken Sie zwei identische Socken oder wechseln Sie Haupt- und Kontrastfarbe für zwei fast identische Socken.
Geminus Socken werden von oben nach unten gestrickt, so dass Sie die Schaft- und des Fußlänge beim Stricken leicht anpassen können. Die Strickschriften sind für jede der Größen separat angegeben.

Größen 1, 2, 3, 4 für einen Fußumfang von ca. 19 (20, 21, 22,5) cm.

Maschenprobe: 36 M / 42 Rd = 10 x 10 cm glatt rechts in der Runde und im Muster gestrickt mit Nadelstärke 2,5 mm nach dem Waschen und Spannen

Garn / Garnmenge: Jedes Sockengarn mit ca. 400 m / 100g ist geeignet. Es werden 2 Farben benötigt. Wenn Bündchen, Ferse und Spitze in der Hauptfarbe gestrickt werden, werden für eine Socke 25 – 40 g in der Hauptfarbe und 20 – 35 g in der Kontrastfarbe benötigt.
Die benötigte Garnmenge variiert je nach Schaft- und Fußlänge.

Die grauen Herrensocken (Schuhgröße EU 44) habe ich mit je einem Strang CoopKnits sock yeah! in den Farben Denburite and Melanite in Gr. 4 gestrickt, die bunten Socken für mich in Gr. 2 (Schuhgröße EU 39) mit Wool and Forest sock (Fb. Eichhörnchen) und Laines du Nord Watercolor sock (Farbe 100).

Nadeln, Materialien: 2 Rundstricknadeln Gr. 2,5mm, mind. 80 cm lang (oder ein Nadelspiel in gleicher Stärke) und eine Stopfnadel zum Vernähen der Fäden.
