Golden Hour Cuff
This listing is for a PDF pattern for crocheted cuff and NOT actual item.
The history of the cuff bracelet as adornment is intriguing and extending through ages. In the past the cuff was an important measure of social class and family. It was worn by the Romans, Egyptians, throughout Africa, China and the Americas made in various materials and showing different designs denoting culture and tradition. Today cuff bracelets are among the most
popular of jewelry. And we are going to make one out of yarn.
Supplies: 10-15 grams of sport yarn in three colors (I used Phildar /Phil Cotton 3) and a 3mm hook (UK11) (US 10/3)
Stitches in American terminology: slip stitch (sl st), chain space (ch-sp), skip (sk), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), (2) 3-chain picot (picot)
Beads: I used cylindrical beads in 2 sizes, big seed beads, flower and other disc sequins. The amount you need depends on the effect you’d like to achieve. The upper top part uses most of the beads (about 5 grams).
Other: tapestry needle for weaving ends, sewing needle and thread in the colors you choose for the cuff (preferably), a button or a bead for closure.
Measurements: fits a 16-18 cm wrist circumference.
Actual cuff measures 16.5 cm (6.49”) in width (without the loop) and 7.5cm down (2.95”) (at the lowest point of the lace edging).
