The Great Star Beanie is a spinoff of the Great Star Pumpkins. This beanie is ultra versatile. Its use a combination of star stitches and single crochets to create some amazing texture. This lovely hat looks complex but is simple to make and has the option for additional length for a foldable brim or extra slouchy style. With a small swatch and a little bit of simple crochet math, this hat can be made in any size using any yarn weight. This pattern is available for free on my blog and the premium version is available for purchase in my shop.
Because of its ability to be worked in a variety of yarn weights and sizes, yardage and stitch counts can vary greatly for this hat. However, in the PDF I have included stitch counts and yardage estimates for Color Made Easy (a Bulky 5 weight yarn).
You will likely need one skein (possibly two with lower yardage skeins depending on size/styles). You will also need the hook recommended by the packaging. For Color Made Easy, you will need one skein and a K (6.5mm) hook.
