A top-down sock featuring an alternate heel construction (no picking up stitches!) and a slanting stitch pattern to make the most of striped yarns.
Due to the bias fabric’s lack of stretch, consider making a larger size or using a thicker yarn. Sock shown in 72 stitch size, and is worn by a women’s US 10 model.
The Aston Project was named in honour of Prof. Mick Aston, a regular member of Channel Four’s Time Team. As I watched episode after episode of Mick wearing all sorts of stripy sweaters, gloves and hats, the concept for the project came to me: sock patterns made just for self-striping yarn!
Greenwich was featured on Time Team in season 7, episode 11: A Roman Temple in Sight of the Millennium Dome.
Note: Due to the nature of PDF downloads, I cannot offer refunds for purchases. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns before you buy this pattern. Thank you!
