Hamilton Shawl
This cozy wearable wrap is in the shape of a V with the point cut off. It’s better than a rectangular stole for wrapping around your shoulders, yet easier than crescents or half circle shapes.
It starts with a scalloped lace edging for the lower and side edges, then decreases are used to create 135-degree angles that make the shape. There are simple bands of different textures such as lace motifs, stockinette stitch, and garter stitch. Three colors are used.
There are both written and charted instructions.
2 sizes are included: a shawlette size and a larger size.
Finished Size
Approximately 40 (55) in 100 (140) cm along lower edge and 15 (17) in 37 (43) cm deep, after hard blocking. Small size is a small shawlette. Instructions for larger size are in parentheses.
