This cheerful blanket was designed to be a quick to knit project using bold, bright colors in a bulky weight yarn. The series of concentric squares uses four colors of various widths to add interest. Many color combinations will work for this pattern, from whimsical to traditional! And, although it was designed with babies in mind, several testers made blankets for adults as well.

This pattern is available here on Ravelry, as well as at Knit Picks.

Happy Place blanket starts at the center and is knit in the round. Periodic bind offs and yarn overs create texture. The knitter may choose to make the blanket smaller if desired. The size shown is 28” across. The shape is squared, but is slightly curved.

Difficulty level is experienced beginner to intermediate.

This pattern was designed to use four colors of yarn. Approximate yardage:
Light Color (LC): 80 yards
Dark Color (DC): 90 yards
Medium 1 (MC1): 110 yards
Medium 2 (MC2): 125 yards

It’s important to knit loosely for this pattern so that your blanket will lie flat.
