Harmony the Sloth is a big fan of the festive season. If she’s not out caroling in the snow, she’s listening to Christmas tunes. Harmony is a versatile design who can be made year-round too!

Harmony is an intermediate amigurumi (crochet) pattern written in English using US (American) terminology. The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Harmony is approx. 13cm tall.

You will need:

• 2.5mm hook/C-2 (US)
• 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted, 50g TAN, 25g in RED, PINK, CREAM and BROWN
• BLACK 4ply yarn or embroidery thread
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester toy stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

• Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.

• When changing colour, pull through the new colour on the stitch before you need it. This will ensure that you have the correct colour yarn on the hook for the upcoming stitch.

• Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.

• Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item.

• I’ve used the following yarns: o TAN = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 055 Beige o RED = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 028 Red o PINK = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 012 Candy Pink o CREAM = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 002 Cream o BROWN = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 052 Light Brown

• I have embroidered the eyes but you may choose to use safety eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
