Havannah
This shirt is knitted seamlessly from the top down.
You´ll start with the neckband, where you can add beads for a hint of glamour. In this first part, increases are done at front, back and on the top of the shoulders. After the neckband is finished, the shaping will be continued with raglan increases for body and sleeves.
When the yoke shaping is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the underarm stitches are cast on, using your preferred cast on method. Then the body is worked in the round down to the hips with a slight A-line shaping, faux side seams are done with a seed stitch, so you get jogless stripes without using any special technique. Then sleeve sts are picked up again to work short sleeves, mirroring the neckband design at the cuffs.
Yarn and beads
Any fingering yarn can be used for this garment. Pure silk and silk blends are recommended for an elegant drape and lustre. Various kinds of plant fibre blends like silk/linen or silk/cotton would be nice too.
Sample is shown in DyeForYarn Fingering / 15ply Mulberry Silk (437yd/400m/100g)
