Hawaiian Sea Glass Shawl
This is a top down, crescent shaped half circle shawl, crocheted out of Noro Taiyo Sock Yarn (50% cotton, 17% wool, 17% nylon, 16% silk), 100 grams (3.5 ounces), 420 meters (460 yards). One skein is needed for size small or two skeins for size large, and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook. There are also instructions included for how to make the shawl even larger if desired or using a finer weight yarn.
Finished measurements after blocking:
o Size small (measures 20” deep by 40” across top edge)
o Size large (measures 21.5” by 50” across top edge)
Stitches used are chains, single and double crochet, and clusters, and this pattern is rated intermediate. My testers all say that this design takes a little more thought than my “usual” patterns, but is a very fun & enjoyable crochet.
Many thanks to my pattern testers, marjos, debspugs, ppremdas, firecrystal, GalFridayCrochet, grenru, csinygirl, and KinnicChick, and to Anne McFarland annewithyarn@gmail.com for her tech editing skills. As always this pattern wouldn’t be possible without you.
Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please
do not sell finished items online without asking me first. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item (http://anastaciaknits.net).
