Helianthus is my take on the ideal everyday bright & fun summery tank top. Instructions are included for either playful stripes or classic solid, but you could use this pattern as a canvas for any color combos your heart desires! Color blocking, random striping, or solid with contrasting edging are a few of the possibilities for making this pattern your own.
This summer tank has a small amount of negative ease; worked in a lightweight, drapey plant-based fiber, this results in a perfect slightly relaxed fit. Neat ribbed edges help to create a polished finished garment.

SIZES
This pattern is graded to 10 sizes, {A, B, C}(D, E, F, G){H, I, J}, designed to fit a body with the bust measurement shown in the schematic.
SIZING GUIDELINES
This tank is designed to be worn with approximately 0 - 2” / 0 - 5 cm of negative ease at the bust. This means that the circumference of your garment should be equal to, or slightly smaller than, your bust circumference.
SAMPLE
Photos show a size B with 0.75” / 2 cm of negative ease at the bust on a body with a height of 5’2” / 157 cm.
CONSTRUCTION
This tank is knit from the bottom up, starting first with the bottom hem and body worked in the round. Then, underarm sts are bound off and the front and back are separated. The remainder of the tank is worked flat. Armhole and neckline shaping are worked in both the front and back, and the straps are grafted together. Sts are then picked up around the armholes and neckline and a half-twisted rib trim is worked. Trim is bound off with a Tubular Bind-Off to create a polished finishing.
