Hill Country Rain Wrap
This pattern was originally designed for the 2020 Knitting in the Hills retreat hosted by Hill Country Weavers. I was unable to attend this retreat in person due to and had the pleasure of teaching my classes via Zoom!
I am excited to be able to share this pattern with you all now, and I hope the mix of techniques and colors might be a relaxing distraction for you, resulting in a sweet little wrap!
I used one of my all-time favorite yarns for this piece, The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii- a rustic fingering weight singles yarn. This would also be a fun stash-busting pattern too of course! I love designing pieces that allow lots of flexibility for knitters to put their personal stamp on!
Hill Country Rain is a rectangle wrap knit in 2 pieces, strarting from the outside edges and working toward the center, where the two halves are joined with a 3-needle bind off. A variety of different stitch patterns and color changes keep this knit fun while still being an unstressful, relaxing knit. The finished wrap is perfect for keeping the hill country rain off your shoulders on chilly spring evenings. The name of this wrap was inspired by the classic Jerry Jeff Walker song- one of my favorites.
