The Houndstooth Bucket Bag is an intermediate /advanced beginner crochet pattern.
Using familiar stitches, combined with colour work and working double stranded, this pattern works up quickly to make a very robust handbag.

Pattern features - 3 size options, and can be converted from a more traditional bucket bag to a rucksack.

Terms: US
Yarn: Paintbox Simply Aran Cotton 85m/93yds per ball or ANY Aran/Worsted 4 weight yarn
You will need 6 - 9 balls in your main / colour A
5 - 7 balls of your contrasting / colour B
Hook: 4.5mm
Other materials:
Hardware - optional but included for completeness
1/2 in d-rings, swivel head lobster clasps, 1/4in grommets
Sewing needle and thread, darning needle, stitch markers and scissors

Single Crochet
Double Crochet
Slip Stitch
