Hrím
Hrím is an Icelandic name for rime in nature. This name of the shawl is inspired by the beautiful texture of rime on leaves in the fall that form when water vapor freezes.
The shawl is knitted flat with a simple seed stitch on slightly bigger needles than indicated for the yarn, which makes the shawl very light and gives a beautiful texture. Simple and easy increases are made until the shawl is in its final shape. In the end you bind off with classic lace, often attributed to the Shetland Islands, which gives the shawl a romantic touch. The final touch is the tassel that is sewn to the starting point of the shawl.
