Lanamania Buchara Light (89% Baby Alpaca, 11% Nylon, light fingering weight, ca. 250m/50g), 1 x 50 g BL06 Beige/Sand
1 knitting needle 4 mm
1 knitting spool or knitting jenny to make I-Cords
Gauge:
23 stitches x 34 rows with needle 4mm = 10x10 cm, gauge is not crucial for this shawl
Basic pattern:
stockinette stitch
The wrap is made with I-cord edges and vertical lace stripes. 12 220 cm long I-cords are worked with the knitting jenny and threaded through the lace stripes. Work as well 12 20 cm long I-cords in different colors and thread them through the holes at the beginning and end of the shawl to make fringes. To break up the Hues of Blue knit always 2 rows with Buchara Light in Beige. You can carry the Buchara Light thread in the middle of the I-cord tube edge. This way you will have a lot less threading to do.
