Ice Cap Cowl
John Muir said of this area “All the landscapes of the Sierra, as we have seen, were born again, remodeled from base to summit by the developing ice-floods of the last glacial winter.”
The Ice Cap Cowl is a tribute to the ice and snow that continues to influence and decorate the landscape with understated strength and power and the tendrils of ice and snow extending to lower altitudes from the rugged peaks of the Sierras surrounding Lake Tahoe.
Cast on at the bottom and worked to the top, the delicate lace edging forms peaks and the swirling cables twist up as the cowl grows taller. Topped with a gentle garter stitch border to keep from too much twist and roll, this cowl is cozy and elegant!
