I'm Crabby
This socks were inspired by a colorway! I’m Crabby sock yarn from Big Sky Yarn Co is a perfect coral pink with red speckles. Both color and name of the yarn could not be more perfect for knitting little crabs! Pairing them up with blue and white stripes gives these socks their fun coastal vibe!
Skill level: advanced beginner to intermediate; need to know Judy’s Magic Cast On, magic loop, wrapping stitches, knitting wrapped stitches.
Finished dimensions: Small: foot circumference about 7” (17.5cm), Large: foot circumference about 8” (20 cm)
Suggested Yarn: sock weight yarn, total of about 3.3 oz (95 g) or 390 yd (364 m) for Small size, 3.5 oz (100g) or 420 yd (384 m) for Large size. I have used Regia Nautic Color, and a small amount of Big Sky Yarn Co yarn in I’m Crabby colorway for contrast.
Needles: size 1 (2.25 mm) and size 2 (2.75 mm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge. You may also use dpns, distributing each half of the sts on 2 dpns (2 dpns for instep side, and 2 dpns for sole side)
Gauge: 8 st and 12 rows = 1” (2.5 cm) in stockinette
