Impressions Fingerless Gloves
This pattern is also offered in combination with the matching headband here.

I started these on straight needles then switched to dpns for working in the round. I like to start projects in the round by working a few rows flat to avoid twisting the work when joining. The large number of cast on stitches also seemed to invite the straight needles to start.
This project uses and explains a Picot Bind Off. Other techniques used are increases, decrease, cables and yarnovers for design interest.
The bows and flowers are made shown in Cocoon from Rowan, but will work up in any worsted weight scrap yarn. The flowers are crochted, while the bows are knit.
