Inka socks
This cute sock is created with an edge made of slip stitches on the leg. These slip stitches enable you to work with
more than one color working with only one strand at the time.
The sock features a well-fitting shadow wrap heel, which is incredibly easy to knit. In the Inka sock, the construction
allows you to choose to knit a gusset for extra room around the heel.

This pattern also gives you the opportunity to choose between a rounded ribbon toe or a star toe. We’ve knitted
the sock in our soft and durable Önling No 18, made from 75% non-superwash wool and 25% recycled PET (plastic)
bottles.

Sizes
Small (size 36-37/US 5-6)
Medium (size 38-39/US6,5-7,5)
Large (size 40-42/US8-9.5)
X-large (size 43-45/US10-11,5)

The sizes can be adjusted so that you can choose to
knit according to the stitch count for size small if you
have narrow feet and knit them to the desired length.
Conversely, you can knit according to the stitch count
for size L or XL if you have wide feet

Önling No 18, 420 m pr 100 g, 4 ply sock wool - non super
wash with recycled bottles

Color A: 50(75)75(75) g
Color B: 10 g Önling No 18 in a contrasting color

2.5mm/US1,5 circular needle with a 80cm /32 inch length
or 2.5mm /US1,5 double-pointed needles (DPNs)
2 stitch markers

The socks can be knit using various sock yarns with an
approximate yardage of 400 meters per 100 grams.

Gauge
32 stitches x 47 rows per 10 cm on a 2.5mm/US1,5 circular
needle

Procedure
The Inka sock is knit from the cuff, down over the heel
and the foot and finishes with a rounded toe or a star
toe. The sock is knitted on a circular needle using the
magic loop method, but you can certainly use doublepointed
needles if you prefer.

A sock with a shadow wrap heel consists of the following
sections: ribbing, leg, first and second halves of the heel,
which are knit with twin and triple stitches, foot, and toe.
For extra room around the heel, you can choose to knit a
small gusset before working the heel. These stitches are
decreased again after the heel.
