These little Gingerbread Houses make sweet festive decorations, and are super for using up odds and ends of yarn. After knitting the basic house in brown yarn, embroider the icing in white yarn and add a heart button and bow to decorate. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the house is knitted in cotton DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

A pair of 2.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2)

Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK; 100% cotton; less than 10g in each colour.

Tapestry needle, toy filling, and a button and bow to decorate.

One size only - The house is 4.5cm wide x 5cm tall x 5.5cm deep.

For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
