ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Jacques Hat is worked from the top down in the round in 1x1 rib stitch. This top/down construction allows you to adjust the
hat size very easily.

SIZES
One Size.
Head circumference: 55 - 60 cm.
NOTE: To adapt the hat circumference for a child or a man, simply remove or add increase rounds.

MEASUREMENTS
Total lenght: 28.5 cm
Brim: 7 cm
Width (measured from side to side along the brim): 22 cm

YARN AND MATERIALS
Approx. 50 g of Hip Wool from HipknitShop 50 g = 80 m, 100 % wool
Circular needles 6 mm 80 cm
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
Gauge before blocking: 17 sts x 19 rows =10 x 10 cm in 1x1 rib stitch, on needle size 6 mm.
TIP: Do not pull on your swatch when measuring the gauge.
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on
10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
