James the Galway Sheep
James the Galway Sheep is a kind and quiet gentleman, polite and well mannered at all times. He is a close relative of the ancient Galway breed of sheep originating in the West of Ireland. Galway sheep are all white and hornless, with a woolly head and legs and sometimes an enigmatic smile….
James was born as a workshop project which took place in The Glen Gallery, Northern Ireland. He is knitted in a lovely mohair boucle from Cushendale Mills. Alternatively, he can also be knitted in Rowan BSB Fine Boucle, or any yarn that fits with the either recommended gauge.
The pattern is written for knitters who have limited experience using dpns and includes colour coded instructions for each needle to help the novice keep track.
Thank you to Jeanc and mswannie for picking up the following addendum:
After working Row 8 of the Rose go straight to Row 10. There is no Row 9
