Janus Sock
At Hands on Knitting Center, my LYS, we are hosting a Year Long KAL on everything feet. I decided to design a sock a month for the year and Janus is my January sock.
Janus was the god of transitions and is the origin of January. Janus was often depicted as a two faced god as he looked forward and back. I like the idea of January being a transition and created a stitch pattern that looks both ways in two fabrics.
The pattern is written and charted but YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO READ A CHART to knit the sock. Here is a video tutorial on how to read a chart:

The pattern also has videos for German Twisted Cast On and Kitchener Stitch.
The Toesdays E-book will end up with 15 patterns - one for each month, a very beginner sock, and a basic cuff down and toe up sock. One (or two) socks will be added each month.
