Voluminus hidden sand cables in a tweed mixture made of Rowan Lima and Rowan Fine Tweed held together, creates a divine texture for this reversible scarf, called Keya after the bloom of a flower. Use the scarf as a collar for the matching Keya Shrug if you like.

Keya Scarf pattern is available in English and in Norwegian (på norsk).

Size: One size.

Finished Measurements:
Width: 23 cm/9”.
Length: 126 cm/49.5”

Yarn: Rowan Lima (84% baby alpaca, 8% merino, 8% nylon, 50 g, 110 m/120 yds). Sample is knitted in Bolivia 890:

Note: One strand of each yarn is held together throughout.
Or another dense Worsted/Aran (10 ply) yarn with or without a Fingering (4 ply) yarn.

Needles: 5.5 mm/US 9 circular needle (60 cm/24”) or straight needles.
Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.

Notions: Cable needle, 2 stitch markers, waste yarn and yarn needle.

Gauge: 16 sts and 27 rows in garter st using both yarns held together measures 10 cm/4” square after blocking.
26 sts and 26 rows in Sand Cable using both yarns held together measures 10 cm/4” square after blocking.
16 sts; 2 cables using both yarns held together measures 6 cm/2.25” across after blocking.

Notes: The scarf is reversible and the stitches are worked in garter stitch and rib throughout.
