The allure of the cable makes this project fascinating to knit. Top down construction, this is softly knit in 100% wool.
Plan for a fit at least 4” larger than chest measures
Sizes: 6 months, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14
20, 22, 24, (25, 28, 30), 32, 34, 36” finished chest
All lengths are adjustable.

Gauge: 6 ¼ stitches and 7 rounds = 1” working gauge in pattern
6 stitches = 1” blocked gauge
unblocked working gauges:
Mossy Vine Cable (19 sts) = 3” wide and 2 ¼” high , Sailor’s Rib (11 sts) = 1 ¾ “ wide Double Moss = (5 sts) = 1”
CASCADE 220 OR CASCADE 220 SW 100 grams/220 yard skeins
440, 440, 440, (660, 660, 660), 880, 880, 1100 yards
all sizes 16”circular needles US # 6 or 7 as needed for GAUGE (see above)
sizes 2 and up: 24” circular needles US # 6 or 7 as needed for GAUGE
all sizes: 16 – 24” smaller needle for hem roll…can be any US size #2 - 5
US #4 or 5 AND 6 or 7 Double pointed needles set of 4 (or optional: 12” circular needle) for sleeve
1 Spare circular needle US # 3 or smaller, longer than 12” (for sleeve joining)
20 Stitch markers various colors/shapes, both ring and clip types
