Discover an original interpretation of broomstick lace with this lightweight sleeveless top designed using my original Naturofils Broomstick Granny Square technique.

The garment is constructed from two large square panels worked in the round. Alternating broomstick lace sections with open squares creates a light checkerboard effect while using only four skeins of yarn.

The panels are joined seamlessly through the loops of the final round, forming the shoulders, armholes and side seams without sewing. Additional rounds extend the squares into rectangles, while decorative loop finishes create an original edging inspired by broomstick lace.

The project is completed with a removable felt flower made from yarn leftovers. The flower can be sewn directly onto the garment or attached to a brooch pin, allowing it to be worn or removed whenever you wish.
