While creating a trilogy of patterns to raise money for Ukraine in February of 2022, I discovered Vyshyvanka embroidery. A Ukranian tradition of embroidering shirts and other clothing articles, the motifs are amazing. I have decided to make a few more pieces using these beautiful motifs.

The traditional motifs and colors vary by area of the country and have had a renaissance among the younger generation in Ukraine. The motifs can tell the story of the wearer and protect the wearer from harm.
Vyshyvanka Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of May.

Three sizes are included. Small, Medium, Large. Medium Size shown in photos.
Always choose size to knit based on desired circumference.

MC : Malabrigo Rios Denim ( Use any MC you love in a Semi Solid or Solid )
( 120, 135, 150 ) yds / ( 109, 122, 137 ) m
CC : Malabrigo Rios Cosmos
( 60, 70. 80) yds / ( 54 ,63, 73 ) m.

US Size 6 / 4 mm 24 in. Circular Needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
DPNs in same size as above to complete decreases.
Go up a needle size if a slightly larger hat is desired.

Gauge: 21 st x 26 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in stranded stockinette st, blocked.
Finished Height: ( 8, 9, 9.5 ) in / ( 20.5, 23, 24 ) cm
Finished Circumference: ( 16, 18.5, 21.5 ) in / ( 40.5, 47, 54.5 ) cm
