This cardigan is the perfect project for absolute fans of cable knittings: Lene is a casual cardigan with different of cable patterns combined with ribbings.

The cardigan is worked from bottom up in one piece until parts are separated at the beginning of the armholes. The set-in sleeves with caps optimize the fit at the shoulders. The cardigan has a V-neck and is closed with 5 buttons.

This cardigan is intended to fit with about 5 - 6” 13 - 15 cm of positive ease at bust. Shown in size M with 6” 15 cm positive ease at
bust.

Gauge:
24 sts and 29 rows in ribbing (k1, p1 in alternation) with larger needles = 4” 10 x 10 cm

Materials:

  • I used the Rowan Felted Tweed (191 yds 175 m/50 g). You’ll need approx 400 (450/500/550/600) g.
  • US size 4 and 6 (3,5 and 4 mm) circular needles (or any size to obtain gauge listed below)
