Lexington is available as part of the Charles Collection from BHK Cooperative. Photos copyright Caro Sheridan and used with permission.

Lexington is a rustic, cabled pullover with a classic look. The
garment features a prominent center cable panel framed by 2x2 rib and carefully tapered sleeves. Gentle, hourglass shaping is worked at the sides to produce a customizable fit flattering most shapes. The side and sleeve ribs lengthen and slim the body, creating a streamlined look. The body is knitted back and forth and the sleeves are knitted in the round to the armholes; the pieces are seamed together after blocking, and the collar is picked up along the neck and worked in the round.

Knitted in Berroco Blackstone Tweed, an incredibly light worsted yarn, the finished project retains a classic feel without the bulk and weight expected of an aran-styled garment. Because the entire piece is extensively ribbed, for proper fit, it is absolutely essential to block individual pieces to measurements. Should you desire to use another yarn, consider a lofty worsted yarn that will work up at 5.5 stitches and 5.75 rows per inch.

Lexington is part of the 10-pattern Charles Collection, from BHK Cooperative. To purchase the collection for US$21.95, please visit the BHK Cooperative website.
