The pattern is an easy-to-memorize K2, P2 repeat. On right-side rows,
once the initial 2 edge stitches and increase are worked, the pattern is
just a simple K2, P2 repeat to the center where the pattern is a mirror
image to the end of the row. On wrong-side rows, knit the knit stitches
and purl the purl stitches.

Due to the nature of the stitch pattern, for best results use stretchy bind off and wet-block the finished shawl. Sample shawl was 40 inches wide x 26 inches long before blocking.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern.
