Materials Needed:
260 yards Yarn Bee “Yarntopia” in “White” or color of your choice
3.25mm (D) hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge
Yarn needle
Scissors (these are like the ones in the pictures)
Stitch markers
Stitches Used:
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
Additional Terms:
3dc cluster: YO, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops (1st stitch of cluster made), YO, insert hook into same st, pull up a loop, YO draw through 2 loops (2nd st of cluster made), YO, insert hook into same st, pull up a loop, YO draw through 2 loops (3rd st of cluster made), YO, draw through all loops on hook.
Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog): invisible decrease: insert hook through front loop of next 2 sts, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2.
Elizabeth Stitch: insert hook into st, yo, draw up a loop, yo, insert hook into same st, draw up a loop, yo pull through all 4 loops on hook. These stitches should be as tall as a sc stitch.
Back bar of sc: look at the back of the stitch and locate the short bar that runs horizontal. Work all designated stitches for the round into this bar. This is a different location than the back loop!
Small Puff stitch: YO, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, YO, insert hook into same stitch, pull up a loop 2 more times. YO and pull through all 7 loops.
Center single crochet (center sc): insert hook through center of designated st, yo and draw up a loop, complete as you would a regular single crochet.
BLO = back loop only
Prev = previous
st/sts = stitch/stitches
sp/sps = space/spaces
Gauge:
Circle should measure 5 1/4” across after round 15.
Measurements:
Adult: 10” wide, by 8 1/2” tall
Preemie/Newborn: 6” wide, by approximately 4 1/2” tall
Additional Notes:
-Ch 1 at beginning of round does not count as a stitch
-Unless otherwise indicated slip stitches are not counted as a stitch and are not worked into.
-Unless otherwise indicated, round begins in same stitch as join.
