Ever just want to knit, for the peace of it, for the fun of it, for the relaxation of it, and know that when you’re done it’s going to be all the things a stylish grab-and-wear accessory should be?
I love my lacy shawls but I need balance in my knit life and my wardrobe. I also want simple knits to click away on at night when I’m overstimulated by the demands of the day and want to wind down.
The Link shawl is just that - a simple asymmetric triangle with stripes of squishy garter stitch of contrasting colour brought together with a little mosaic. It is a cosy, casually elegant garment that you’ll love to wear and very easy and relaxing to knit.
My sample is knit using the beautifully transitioning colours of Spincycle Yarns Dream State together with Metamorphic (and yes, they do mesh together like a dream so don’t stress about their slightly different weight). The Bright Idea brings a fresh contrast and the Wololo adds richness, both balanced with the solid Metamorphic which I absolutely love. The beauty of this design is that you can truly create a look that suits your tastes by selecting your favourite shades of transitioning colour for blended looks like mine or going with more solid shades for stronger contrasts, it’s entirely up to you!
The pattern has fully written instructions with stitch counts and mosaic details. It also includes charts for the people who prefer a visual presentation of the mosaic, as well as a detailed ticksheet for every row of the pattern.
