Little Bat Friend
It’s a bird, it’s a drone, it’s Superbat, saving the world from insects. This is a pattern for a small bat about 5 inches long and with an 11 inch wingspan when knitted in worsted weight yarn. It also includes instructions for a cape and mask. Gauge and yarn weight don’t really matter as long as you get a dense fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t show through. Thicker yarn will give you a larger bat and thinner yarn will yield a smaller bat. I’ve included a lot of pictures to make the pattern easier to follow. And finally to those of you who, like me, are not so fond of sewing knitted parts together, I apologize, this bat has more sewing than I usually put in my patterns. The bat’s pretty cute though, so I like to think it’s worth it.
