Little Lottie The Chick
Peep-peep! Little Lottie can’t wait to get into spring - full of energy and curiosity, this cute little chick will make a sweet addition to any Easter party or farm playset.
This is a very simple and quick project ideal for a beginner crochet toy maker. The pattern is written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos on how to assemble and finish the toy.
Stitches and techniques used are single crochet, slip stitch, increasing, decreasing and working in rounds from a magic ring.
The finished chick is about 9cm tall.
Lottie and her friend are made in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, but any DK yarn will work great. The feet are finished in DMC Petra crochet cotton no3, but can be twisted from red pipe cleaners or made with readymade wire feet.
As well as the yarn you will need a pair of 7mm safety eyes and a 50cm piece of wire (if using).
