Little Rusty - the little sister of Rusty - is a roundyoke sweater with a nice stranded color work yoke worked seamlessly from the top down to the hem. At the beginning, the neckline is formed with short rows, and then the stranded color work for the yoke is knitted in rounds. When the required length of the yoke is reached, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the lower body is finished in rounds first. The lower body can be worked with or without a pattern and/or different shapes. Then the sleeves are knitted in rounds to the cuff.

Gauge: 26sts / 36rows = 4´´/10cm in Stockinette stitch after soaking and light blocking with needle size US 4 / 3,5 mm.

Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn with approximately 437yds/400m/100g that gives you the proper gauge will work well.

Contrast Color: Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the wool, (200 yards/183 meters / 50g) col. Heart Sigh as contrasting color

Main Needle: US 4 (3,5mm): 32” (80cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and sleeves.

Ribbing: US 3 (3,25mm) 16” (40cm) and 32” (80cm) and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and cuff ribbing.

Little Rusty wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt. Zu Beginn wird der Ausschnitt mit verkürzten Reihen geformt und anschließend wird in Runden das Zählmuster für die Passe gestrickt. Wenn die erforderliche Länge der Passe erreicht ist, werden die Ärmelmaschen stillgelegt und zunächst der untere Körper in Runden fertig gestrickt. Der untere Körper kann mit und ohne Muster gearbeitet werden. Anschließend werden die Ärmel in Runden bis zum Bündchen gestrickt.

In der deutschen Anleitung werden die englischen Strickabkürzungen verwendet, die auf Deutsch erklärt sind.

Garn:
Jedes nicht zu glatte Garn mit einer Lauflänge von ca. 400m/100g, das zur Maschenprobe passt, ist gut geeignet. Damit das Muster gut zur Geltung kommt, sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass die gewählten Farben genügend Kontrast haben.

Der Pullover auf dem Foto wurde gearbeitet mit:
Hauptfarbe: ColourMart Cashmere/Geelong 4/20NM fine fingering wt (730m per 150g), col. winter. Dieses Garn ist vergleichbar mit dem Garn Noble von Holst.
Kontrastfarbe: Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the wool, (183 meters / 50g) col. Heart Sigh - ein Garn mit langem Farbverlauf

Die benötigte Garnmenge (s.ob.) wird beeinflusst durch die individuelle Strickfestigkeit, die Wahl des Garnes, Länge und Weite des unteren Körpers und Abweichungen in der Maschenprobe. Die benötigte Garnmenge in der Kontrastfarbe hängt davon ab, ob der Pullover mit oder ohne das Muster im unteren Körper gestrickt wird.

Nadeln - Für eine korrekte Maschenprobe die Nadelstärke falls notwendig entsprechend anpassen.
3,25 mm für Maschenanschlag und Bündchen: Rundstricknadeln (40cm und 80cm) und ein Nadelspiel (oder eine lange Rundstricknadel für die Magic loop Technik)
3,5 mm für Körper und Ärmel: Rundstricknadel (80cm) und ein Nadelspiel (oder eine lange Rundstricknadel für die Magic loop Technik)
