Live a Dream
Absolutely adorable pattern Live a Dream will not let you to get bored! It has many different textured stitches that create this beautiful blanket. The pattern will look gorgeous using not only few different solid colors, but also ombre, one solid color, cakes or long gradient yarn. You can use this pattern to create a baby blanket or lap blanket or you can join squares together to create a stunning king size bed cover.

The pattern is appropriate for the intermediate level crocheters. For more experienced ones this would be a relaxing project.

STITCHES:
magic ring, surface slst, slip stitch, single crochet, back top single crochet, back loop only single crochet, front post single crochet, half double crochet, back top half double crochet, double crochet, back post double crochet, front loop only double crochet, front post extended double crochet, popcorn stitch
YARN, COLORS, HOOK & APPROXIMATE SIZE:
Live a Dream pattern sample was created using #3 yarn (light weight/DK), 100 % acrylic. Hook size 4.5 mm:
Pink – 50 g, 130 m/142 yd.
Rose – 50 g, 130 m/142 yd
Dirty pink – 50g, 130m/142 yd
Pink variegated – Alize Burcum Batik, 100 g, 210 m/230 yd
Purple shades (3 colors):
Light purple – 100 g, 210 m/230 yd
Purple – 50 g, 130 m/142 yd
Plum – 50 g, 130 m/142 yd.
TOTAL: 450 g, 1070 m /1170 yd
The sample size 42 rounds (including border) = 30 in (75 cm) square (before blocking). You can make a blanket bigger by adding the repeated rounds at the end.
You can use any yarn & hook you like that suits your project.
26th March, 2019 added new extended variation of the pattern. Now you can crochet as big square as you want by continuing the pattern, not just plain rounds.
Extended variation No.2 (added 26/03/2019) (continuing repeating the pattern not plain rounds)
Round 38 - repeat Round 18, just in the corner spaces make 3dc, ch2, 3dc (instead of 2dc, ch2, 2dc in the corner and 1 dc in ch1 space that we had after and before corner pop on Round 18).
Round 39 - repeat Round 19.
Round 40 - repeat Round 20.
Round 41 - repeat Round 21.
The next set of Rounds will be 42-45. On Round 42 we reduce amount of shells (-1 on each side of the square) as we did on Round 22. Continue the logic of the pattern till you are happy about the size of your blanket.
