Looking Forward Cowl
Description
The year 2020 was like no other. I can’t begin to name all the struggles and “new” ways of doing things and living that we’ve all encountered. Parental burnout, virtual learning for children, loss of jobs, and worrying about having enough food to eat are only the beginning of things our society has had to accept and adapt to.
This cowl is named as such to remind us that our situations will improve as we anticipate what this new year holds and that it will hopefully be healthier and easier for all of us.
This is a simple cowl showcasing elongated stitches that allow even the most variegated of yarns to shine! The beads add pizzazz and a nice drape to the cowl but could certainly be left out.
Size
13” x 15” (33cm x 38cm) - easily sized up or down by either increasing or decreasing the number of stitches in multiples of 4. Doing so, however, will certainly change the yarn requirements.
Yarn
Any fingering yarn will do and the more variegated the better! The Splash of Color Yarns fingering skeins are a generous 463 yds/423m and you’ll use almost all the skein.
