The Luminous Beanie incorporates star stitch and works exceptionally well with variegated and self-striping yarns. It was designed to show off bulky, striping handpsun yarn. Or use two contrasting yarns to make the stars really pop! The luminous beanie is a super quick knit, great for gift giving!

Designer used 43 yards of Jo-Ann Sensations Life super bulky yarn in Blue LDG 593 and 20 yards of Patons Brilliant sport weight yarn in gold glow (doubled) for the toddler size 66 yds of bulky handspun yarn spun from hand painted Montadale top in colorway Apple Crsip from Esther’s Place Fibers for the adult size
Set of 5 US 13 double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 12 sts & 16 rows = 4”/10 cm in twisted rib
13 sts & 16 rows= 4”/10 cm in star stitch pattern
