Mabon Halter Top
Say Hi to my new Mabon Halter Top!
Deeply inspired by my bestseller Witchy Top (you can find it here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/witchy-top), this gothic-bohemian halter top is perfect to pair with skinny, slouchy or wide-legs jeans, as well as with a gypsy, hippie long skirt.
I named this design after Mabon, the mid-harvest festival, a modern Pagan ritual that celebrates the Autumnal Equinox (in the Northern hemisphere), honors the changing of the seasons and welcomes the darkest part of the year. It’s a moment to give thanks to Mother Earth and be deeply grateful for all the abundance in our life.
Featuring a set of witchy O’rings, the Mabon Halter Top pattern is written tutorial style, meaning it can be scaled to fit any size required and does not contain specific or set sizes.
You will find my testers’ annotations and my instructions to help you along the process.
The pattern has a lot of pictures to clarify the written instructions.
I designed it to be completely made to measure and suitable for everyone, no matter what size, gender, and body shape
Skill level: Intermediate (you are comfortable with the fundamentals of crochet)
Materials:
5.5 mm crochet hook (or corresponding hook to meet the gauge swatch), “Chunky” DK or thin DK doubled/Light Worsted Yarn (in this pattern Pima Cotton by WeAreKnitters in color Terracotta), Needle to weave in, Tape measure, Stitch markers, Scissors, Water-resistant Rings (ex. Stainless steel, Silver etc…). Mine are 0.8 inch in diameter.
You would need between 200 and 700 yards of yarn (according to your size).
If you would prefer to get the Mabon Halter Top Crochet Kit, which contains all the materials and tools you need, you can purchase it here:
