MEGAROW Shawl
The MEGAROW Shawl is a top down crescent shawl that is designed for a main color, a gradient and a contrast color for the border. The body and border are done all in garter stitch. The gradient is worked in a very simple lace stitch. Short rows are worked in the garter sections so you don’t even need to worry about picking up wraps.
This pattern is very easy to modify if you want a smaller shawl- guidance is provided in the pattern. It would be very simple to do 4 repeats of lace instead of 5 to accommodate a 100g/400 yard gradient.

About the Name:
My original MEGAROW Shawl sample uses 7 different colors-- all of which I adore. Since this shawl is my last published design in 2017, I thought it only fitting that it should commemorate the fact that 2017 will be the last year of being an auntie to just 7 beautiful nieces and nephews because in early 2018 we have a new addition coming! This gaggle of 7 has a special place in my heart and always will (though collectively, I’m sure we’ll spoil this new addition rotten).
MEGAROW is an acronym that includes the first initial of each of the 7 kids I love and adore most in this world (right now)- Millie, Emelyn, Garret, Aila, Riley, Oisín and Will. It’s also fitting that by the end of this shawl with the increasing stitch counts, the rows do feel like mega rows!
