I love animals and I wanted to do a kitty sweater (doggy one is also coming!) that would allow you to use your favorite colors with your favorite snuggly animals. The pattern is written for capped and long sleeves but you’ll need extra yarn for the long sleeves.

A note on a knitographical error. You will see a stripe in the body of my pink one. It seemed like a good idea at the time and I forgot to take it out so yours won’t have that stripe. See, happens to us all….

Pattern notes

1. There are optional short rows
2. Make sure your kitty and background colors will have high contrast so you can see the felines!
3. There is alternate colorwork for sizes over 44” so you won’t have a single color with twisted stitches (which are in the body) over your boobs (yeah, you’re welcome.) There are fish (I get it - fish over your boobs might not be your thing, either - but in that case you can have stripes and kitty perches instead!) You can choose which part of the extra charts that you like and make it your own - this is meant to be a sweater you ADORE!
4. Kitty Eye options are many: You can sew buttons or rhinestones on for eyes, or add beads as you go, or just follow the chart for the background color for the eyes.
