Mellow Shawl takes its shape from my beloved Stay Soft Shawl but adds a little twist to the shawl game: a little bit of intarsia! Mellow Shawl uses only two colours, 2 skeins of main colour and 1 skein of the contrast colour.

This shawl is a simple knit with just the right number of surprises for a relaxing knitting experience. The bias triangle is absolutely my favourite shape to wear. There are three different possible ways to knit this shawl – you can pick your favourite!

MATERIALS
Yarn:

• 2 skeins of Vieno by Aara Yarn, in colorway Puuteri (pink). Or approx. 765 yds / 700 m of light fingering weight yarn in MC.
• 1 skein of Vieno by Aara Yarn, in colorway Karri (yellow). Or approx. 365 yds / 335 m of light fingering weight yarn in CC.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer.

SIZING
One Size

Measurements of the finished shawl: Wingspan 80” 200 cm and 20” 50 cm deep at deepest spot.

GAUGE
20 sts and 40 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch, after blocking.

Note: You can knit this shawl 3 different ways. Either work it in two separate pieces (upper and lower sections), work it in full intarsia version, or with mixing the two styles. Each technique will give you the same result, and are included in the pattern.
