A trip to Mesa Verde National Park and the incredible designs of the black on white pottery were the inspiration for the Mesa Verde Hat. Fran brought home a poster showing several mugs created with the ancient designs and couldn’t rest until she had translated a few of the motifs into stitch patterns. A hat seemed like the perfect tribute to these ancestral Puebloan artists.
