Mila is a seamless, top-down knitted sweater. You start by working the top back and forth to add some depth to the neckline. Then, you continue in the round, building the shoulders and the upper part of the sleeves using a set of increases inspired by the contiguous method. The sleeves are then put on hold while you knit the body in-the-round, featuring a stylized floral motif that is also found at the bottom of the sleeves, which are also knitted in-the-round. Lovely decorative ribs adorn the bottom and sides of the sweater, as well as the cuffs. In the end, you pick up stitches around the neckline, and knit a double collar that gives structure to the sweater. Knitted in fluffy yarn, Mila is a sweater with low, slightly puffed shoulders and a rather short cut. With its original colorwork pattern, it will be a unique piece in your wardrobe!

Skills level: Intermediate (previous experience in colorwork knitting is recommended)

Sizes: XS-S (M-L-XL) 2XL corresponding to a final garment’s bust circumference of
93-105 (118-133-145) (158-170-181) 196 cm or 36.5-41.25 (46.5-52.25-57) (62.25-67-71.25) 77.25 in.
The garment is designed to be worn with an ease of 20 to 34cm (7.75 to 13.5 in).

Gauge: Knitted flat with 5mm (8US) needles in stockinette stitch and measured after blocking:
21 sts x 30 rws = 10 x 10 cm = 4 x 4 in.

Note: The choice of main yarn is important for this project. I highly recommend using a blown yarn. Drops Air is an excellent alternative.

Mila est un pull tricoté en une pièce sans couture du haut vers le bas. On commence par travailler le haut en aller-retour pour donner un peu de profondeur à l’encolure. Puis on continue en rond en construisant les épaules et le haut des manches grâce à un jeu d’augmentations inspiré de la méthode contigüe. On laisse ensuite les manches en attente pour tricoter le corps en rond avec son motif floral stylisé que l’on retrouve en bas des manches qui sont également tricotées en circulaire. De jolies côtes fantaisie agrémentent le bas et les côtés du pull ainsi que les poignets. A la fin, on relève des mailles autour de l’encolure et on tricote un col double pour donner de la tenue au pull. Tricoté en laine soufflée, Mila est un pull aux épaules basses, légèrement bouffantes et à la coupe plutôt courte. Avec son jacquard original, il sera une pièce unique dans votre garde-robe !

Niveau: Intermédiaire (expérience en jacquard recommandée)

Tailles: XS-S (M-L-XL) 2XL correspondant à un tour de poitrine du pull fini de 93-105 (118-133-145) 158 cm. Le pull est conçu pour être porté avec une aisance de 20 à 34 cm.
