Misty Morning Throw
The Misty Morning Throw was designed for just that…misty mornings out on the front porch or curled up by a fire. We all need that special blanket to help us stay cozy on chilly mornings! I hope you enjoy this pattern ;)
This blanket is made corner to corner style. This means that you will start at one corner and work increases until it reaches your desired width, then decrease back down to form a square. Because of this, it is extremely easy to customize the size of your blanket. If you’d like a smaller blanket, perhaps for a baby, work fewer increase rows, but if you’d like a larger blanket, work more!
It is important to note that altering the size of your blanket will affect your required yardage. My favorite way to make a corner to corner blanket is to figure out how much yarn I have total, say, 10 skeins, and then divide that by two. Ten divided by two is five, so I will use about five skeins on the increase section, and then use the last five to decrease back down. I would recommend stopping increasing just before you reach your half way mark in terms of yarn amount, because it would be terrible to induce an unnecessary game of yarn chicken!
