Music (Tennessee)
Country Music and Tennessee are connected to each other. Famous stars like Johnny Cash, Bobby Bare and many others lived and still live in Tennessee. Their music inspired me into designing this sock, for the beautiful state of Tennessee. I also love country music - can you tell? Look closely at the sock and you will see lovely notes - my sock sings!
As a designer, I often use Crystal Palace yarns for their versatility, and you can see that in my other patterns like the Joyful Roses Sock recently published in Yarn Forward magazine.
The initial shipment of the 50SocksCD/book is scheduled for ~12/21/09.

Notes from Stickfia: (posted with her permission)
In the pattern are stitches that are slipped as to knit on 8 subsequent rounds. To facilitate this I did a double wrap of the stitch that was to be slipped on the following rounds. When slipping the stitch for the first time I just dropped the extra wrap and thus got an elongated stitch. Thanks to this I got the extra “slack” and could follow the charted pattern.
I centered the ribbing on the heel flap and on the instep. The pattern does not include instructions for this.
On the second sock I do the “stems” like this:
Slip as to knit on uneven rounds, slip as to purl on even rounds.
This create a nice twisted stem, but is easier to do than to slip like to knit on every round.
