Nazca Mittens
Nazca mittens are worked in traditional colorwork stranded techniques and feature a side thumb. The motifs on these mittens were inspired by figures on a textile from the Nazca civilization of ancient Peru. The design on the front of the mitten is reversed on the back. The pattern includes charts, photos, and written instructions.
There are several different color options. You can knit using a dark background and a light motif, a light background with the motif in a darker color, or use the bands of colors that mimic the peruvian textiles.
